Serverless order & inventory platform
A growing direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand
An event-driven order and inventory backbone on AWS Lambda and DynamoDB that keeps stock accurate across multiple sales channels.
Cloud solutions · AWS
We design, build and migrate workloads on Amazon Web Services with everything defined in Terraform, least-privilege access from the start and cost visibility built in, so the platform is easy to reason about long after handover.
What we build
Typical pieces of work in this area. Most engagements combine several of them.
A multi-account setup with AWS Organizations, centralised logging, guardrails through service control policies and sign-in via IAM Identity Center.
APIs and event-driven workflows on Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS and Step Functions, with retries and dead-letter queues designed in.
Applications on ECS Fargate or EKS with autoscaling, blue/green deployments and secrets read from Secrets Manager rather than environment files.
Assessment, wave planning and execution for servers, databases and file shares: rehost where that is sensible, refactor where it pays off.
RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3 with lifecycle rules and CloudFront for fast delivery to users wherever they are.
IAM policy reviews, GuardDuty and Security Hub, encryption at rest and in transit, private subnets and VPC endpoints.
Rightsizing, Savings Plans analysis, storage tiering and consistent tagging so every team can see what it spends.
How we work
Weeks 1–2
Review current workloads, risks and costs, then agree the target architecture and what success looks like.
Foundation
Build the landing zone, networking, identity and an infrastructure pipeline, all in Terraform.
Waves
Deliver workloads in small waves with rollback plans, starting with the lowest-risk systems.
Go-live
Dashboards, alarms and runbooks in CloudWatch or Grafana, plus a handover session for your team.
Ongoing
Periodic cost and security reviews, applied as code changes with a clear audit trail.
Proven, well-supported tools, chosen for your context rather than for novelty.
Outcomes depend on your starting point; we agree success measures with you up front.

FAQ
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Ask us directly. We’re happy to talk it through.
It depends on the workload. Spiky, event-driven work usually suits Lambda; long-running services, steady traffic or existing Docker apps usually suit ECS Fargate. We often combine both, and we explain the trade-offs in cost, cold starts and operational effort before you decide.
For most web workloads we can get very close, using database replication, staged DNS changes and a tested rollback. Some legacy systems need a short planned maintenance window, and we tell you which ones, and why, during assessment.
Terraform by default, because it works across AWS, Azure and Cloudflare and your team can reuse the skills. If you already standardise on CloudFormation or the AWS CDK, we work with that instead.
You do. We work through roles you grant via IAM Identity Center, and you can revoke our access at any time. We never ask for root credentials.
There is usually room, but we won’t promise a figure before we look. A cost review covers rightsizing, idle resources, storage classes, data transfer and commitment discounts, and each recommendation comes with its trade-offs.
